You Served.
There's a Place for You on This Mat.
Military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS are welcome at Sampson Jiu Jitsu Academy in Southlake, TX. Jason Sampson has coached military and law enforcement for years. Your first Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class is free.
The Work Does Not Stop.
You already trained your body to perform under pressure. You already know what discipline feels like when no one is watching. That work does not stop the day the structure of service ends.
Martial arts is the room where what you built becomes a skill you keep sharpening. Not therapy. Not a fitness class. A practice that holds the standard you already hold yourself to.
Come Train. The First Class Is Free.
No pitch, no pressure. You get a free Brazilian Jiu Jitsu trial class, the same welcome every new student gets, taught by two black belts and Bellator veterans in a private studio that knows your name.
- Who it is for
Military, veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, and EMS. The people who already know what showing up looks like.

What Service Members Say.
“Real veteran testimonial pending.”
A Room That Holds the Standard.
A real share of the students who train here have served, worked the radio, or run the ladder. The other half learn from you and respect what you brought to the mat.
No speeches. No saluting. Just the work, three to four nights a week, in Southlake.

Common Questions Before You Start.
Do I need any experience to start?
No. Most of our adult students started with zero grappling experience. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is technique and leverage, not size and strength, so you do not need to be in shape or know anything to have a good first class. Jason and Neal meet you exactly where you are.
Has Jason actually coached military and law enforcement?
Yes. Jason Sampson has coached military, law enforcement, and survivors of domestic violence. He is a 3rd-degree black belt under Carlos Machado, a Pan American champion, and a Bellator veteran. He understands the kind of people who train here because he has trained them.
Is Jiu Jitsu hard on the body?
Brazilian Jiu Jitsu has one of the lowest injury rates of any martial art. There are no strikes and no knockouts, and live rolling is introduced progressively, only when you and your instructor agree you are ready. You set the pace, especially in your early weeks.
Can my family train too?
Yes. We have programs for kids ages 4 to 7, kids and teens ages 7 to 13, and adults 14 and up, plus private lessons. Plenty of families train together here. Bring them in for a free trial class as well.
How do I get started?
